Sohalifa is an Arabic comedy television series that first aired on Al Jazeera Channel. The series is based on the life of Sohalifa, an unemployed man who lives with his niece in a small village in the Middle East. His daughter and son-in-law also live in the village with their children, while his wife is in Dubai.
One day, Sohalifa is looking for a job when he finds an advertisement for a TV show in the village, and he decides to apply for the job. He is hired and invited to the studio to work on the show, which he does for the next seven years. In the meantime, he meets Fadi, a girl who wants to become an actress, and he helps her find a job as well. Fadi is hired and invited to the studio to work on the show as well.
In the series, Sohalifa meets many other people in the village, and he is forced to interact with them and help them in various situations. Some of the situations include: finding a date for the girls, helping Fadi to find her way to her school, helping the villagers with their land problems, and helping the workers in their demands for better wages. Sohalifa also meets many other characters in the series, including: the village residents, Fadi's family, Sohalifa's boss, and many others.
